What it does: It helps you build a plan that holds up by walking you through each of the six SOSTAC® stages — Situation, Objectives, Strategy, Tactics, Action, Control — and as you work through each one, it applies my own critique/feedback and standards, the same way I’d challenge a plan in person.
It helps you find answers (and sources) for a more comprehensive Situation Analysis, point you to extra resources if needed, help you select realistic objectives, develop strategic options, select one and, then turn strategy into more detailed tactics, and nudge you to complete the actions you set – right into your existing workflows.
Once you’re executing, it reports back in near-real-time against your objectives — telling you where you’re on track and what to adjust. Each stage is gated i.e. it requires human experience/ judgement/checks /approval before moving to the next stage.
In the AI era, a lot of AI assistants are generalist, and not like SOSTAC® AI Assisted Plans which has a robust and rigorous approach/checks/gates, particularly, when developing strategy.
